Is this from one of the Maltese makers such as Mtarfa?
« on: November 27, 2009, 03:48:00 PM »
This rather pretty little bowl (3" high) has a rough pontil mark and reminds me of some of the nMaltese glass makers such as Mdina or Mtarfa. The piece is unsigned. Am I way off the mark with this?

It looks to me to have exactly the same external proportions as a lovely little Phoenecian bowl I have, but it's only 2.25" tall, the decoation is completely diffferent though. Yours also looks thicker.

It looks like a piece of modern Scottish glass I've just seen in the book I've just edited, will look when I get home

Thank you for your responses. I have been away for a week hence the apparent lack of acknowledgement.

I was barking up the wrong tree; it's nothing like the piece I saw, sorry
