Sandy:

Yes, we had same problem before with what seemed to be a 1950's company and a 1980's label, as I remembered only too well when I read the thread again. I then googled Seguso Arte Vetro and came up with this link. http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/mans-s.htm, which says the company was Livio Seguso's, started in 1969. I checked with Murano Magic and that's consistent with it says about Livio Seguso, although the company name is not given. Murano Magic says Livio concentrated on glass sculpture after 1990.

That makes sense to me. I hope you post new pictures of the birds when they arrive.

:hiclp: Have just received my birds, they look like Seagulls to me, and they are stunning! They are very heavy weighing in at 2.4kgs each.

Sandy:

They're gorgeous, not something I often say about seagulls. Since I last posted I've seen a label exactly like the one on the birds where the Murano is replaced by Livio. That convinces me that these are by Livio Seguso. If you want a reference, email me.

These are seriously attractive, like David I am no big fan of seagulls, but I would be very happy to have these in my collection.

Well done!
Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.

Totally agree with David on this.  Your birds are by Livio Seguso for sure.  He favored clear glass at one point in time. Your birds are simply stunning.

:rah: Forgot to mention, they are also signed, Seguso A V, its very small on both birds on the base, so very hard to get a clear photo.
