Carnival Glass bowl for ID please
« on: December 06, 2009, 07:12:05 PM »
Hello!

This is another item from my local antique shop closing down clear-out.  Can anyone tell me the manufacturer and year please?

Thanks in advance,
Stu.

http://www.geocities.com/carni_glass_uk_2000/Chunky.html

Sowerby's 2266, aka Chunky aka English Hob & Button

1920s and again in the 1950s (maybe even into the 60s).

Thank you, Glen.  When I see this pattern in the future, I will remember.  I claimed to dislike Carnival previously but have come to realise how fantastic it looks under lights.  It may even be a keeper!

Thanks again,
Stu.
