glass question - what type is this?

Hi there. Michael with g+g architects in Atlanta. The attached is of a piece that just came into the office. Any ideas from your side as to it's origin or maker?

Hi Michael and welcome to the board. Is this a vase or a lamp? It's hard to tell from the pic. If it's a lamp then can we see the fitting as well please.

It's what's called cage blown... a technique used for lanterns and lamps as well as other decorative pieces. Yours is very art deco in style - more pics would be welcome.

Your item certainly has quality, daum are usually signed, have you checked all over?

Could we have some dimensions please?  And can I raise one name, even if I'm going to be shot down in flames, that of the great Frederic Carder?  This looks awfully like some of the stuff he was making in the 30s...
