Topic: Murano or not? Alabastro bird

Please can anyone identify this piece of glass. I believe it is 1950s' Murano and possibly Seguso. The bird is made in what I believe is termed Alabastro with mainly blue with pink breast, one of the wings pales to a whitish hue as does the tail and on the back is slightly green. The base is of a tree stump, with applied leaf/berry, the leaves have gold flecks. Stands 10" high.
Not marked and no label, the only thing which confuses me is the large indented, polished pontil which I have not seen on Murano before.
Any suggestions?

no disrespect but the pic quality makes it difficult to have a good look. It would be all to easy to say the wrong thing, any chance of some better ones with a view from the back of the figure as well ?

The birddoes not strike me as being the style of Archimede Seguso. It is a beautiful bird, IMO. It does look like alabastro to me. I love the colors. Wish I could give some idea of who made it.

Looks very nicely made to me. The colours and the way they fade one into another reminds me of a huge tree with nine birds I saw at an auction recently, that had a signature that was either Zanetti or Zanelli.

I went to the Zanetti site and I see what you mean, there are similarities, so I sent them an email with pics and asked whether it could be one of theirs, hope I get a response

Got an answer from Zanetti and it isn't one of theirs, but Damian Farnea who answered my email wondered whether it was a Pate de Verre? bird on glass base.
And...how can I tell the difference between alabastro & Pate de Verre!
