Hi, i got this for christmas. Im thinking its Ingrid glass, West Germany? Also would anyone know the designer? It measures 6inches high x 5.5inches wide, and has a random bubble pattern. Any ideas would be much appreciated, many thanks.

Generic means typical of Murano workmanship but not attributable to any one Murano maker (unless we find a labelled/signed version).

The plot thickens. Are both of you saying that this is definately an Alfredo Barbini piece? How much did you sell your gold one for? Have typed in his name and struggling to find the same vase as mine???

I dont remember exactly what it went for now being 2 years ago (to many days and to many pieces of glass sold in between im afraid). Johnphilip is a pretty good source for glass (one of the big brains ) I will drop him an email and draw his attention to this thread and he can give you more details. michelle
