hi, this is 8 inches tall, i am not sure if its Sowerby or Bagley, i think it may be British as it has the word "celery" running down the upper part of the vase, any idea of maker would be great

Hi,

This vase isn't British, it's Belgian. It was made by Val Saint Lambert & is from their 'Luxval' line of pressed glass. Pattern name is 'Baden'. You can probably find it in the 1935 catalogue available on www.glas-musterbuch.de
This shape was introduced in the 30s but the 'Celery' mark on yours suggests it's early post-war production.

Thank you for that Steve, you've made my day, its beautifully heavy and lovely quality, did i pay a fair price for it at £15?
