Any info on this vase?
« on: January 02, 2010, 11:01:46 PM »
I bought the vase in Copenhagen a few years ago, just because I liked it. The shopkeeper did not know about its history. After looking for numerous websites, I still have not found a similar one.

The height is approx. 13 cm. The color is vivid green and makes me happy every time I look at it!

I gather that the vase could be non-Scandinavian, even though found in Copenhagen...

I don't have the catalogue pages covering these vases, but I know Kastrup Glas (Denmark) made very similar pieces from 1954 onwards, and the colour is about right.

However, many other factories around the world also made very similar items so it's hard to tell for sure without the catalogue.

Many thanks, Pinkspoons! Kastrup Glas fits well with Copenhagen, so it might be the way to continue research, and 1950's match with my own thoughts, too. Maybe the secret of the vase will be revealed soon!
