Hand Painted Glass Vase - by Sarah-Jane Cambridge
« on: January 12, 2010, 03:37:19 AM »
This piece is beautifully hand painted and very detailed indeed.  I have tried to gather information regarding the person that painted this but unable to find any more details.  I only know who painted it by the labels that are on the base of this vase.  I am not sure that it is a vase and any information is most welcomed.  The vase measures 15cm in height and the diameter of the base is 7.8cm.  The diameter of the top of the vase measures approx. 9.4cm.  There are two labels at the base of the vase.  The first label in gold reads:- STRAWBERRY OVERDOSE HANDPAINTED GLASSWARE BY SARAH-JANE CAMBRIDGE ENGLAND. TEL. NO. (01354)69539.  The second label reads:- care instructions please do not wash outside of glassware If necessary it maybe gently wiped over with a damp cloth.

It is an unusual piece and someone has gone it to a lot of work to paint this particular vase.

When it comes to identification, a label like that one can be so helpful!  ;)
I wish some of my bits had similar labels ;D
