ID Request on orange with white frit vase
« on: January 16, 2010, 08:40:09 PM »
We think this is Italian, though it looks somewhat like some of the new Chinese glass that has come in recently, though we bought it about 10 years ago, before the Chinese production got better.  This is cased clear on the interior, paddled heat polished base.  Height is about 28 cm.  Any help is greatly appreciated, as well as any comments are more than welcome.

No one else has answered, so I thought I would comment. I do not think this vase is Muranese. The rim reminds me of recent pieces that I see. I would guess either Poland or China as the probable sources, but I am not sure.

Never thought of Poland as a source, we do have a couple of pieces, sculpture rather than art glass.   That is a very real possibility.  Will probably appear on eBay with in the next week now.  Thank you very much Anita.
