Weird Caithness piece
« on: October 02, 2020, 12:30:18 PM »
New to the forum so firstly, Hi all!
I found this lovely in a charity shop and as a poor collector of Caithness I couldn't resist it.  I always research what I buy but this has me stumped, I can't find another one anywhere.  I'm starting to wonder if some enterprising soul has put a Caithness label on a non-Caithness piece.
If anyone has any info I'd be most grateful as it's now becoming a bit of an obsession!
Thanks in advance,
Smoo

Hi Simon, welcome to the Board.

Unfortunately using drive.google can cause problems for some people, including me. I had to set a new password. But then it told me: "Ask for access, or switch to an account with access".

Please check out our Help topic for resizing images to fit the Board limits. If you still have trouble, click the email icon by my username to send your pic(s) to me and I will resize for you.

It is a Radiance candleholder designed by Jimmy Manson and Gordon Hendry. Apparently in the Caithness 2000 catalogue.

Radiance comes in three shapes with three colour options - see also Scotland's Glass (as mentioned above).
