Initially I was thinking possibly Iitalla or Pukeberg but am now wondering if this is a Walther rectangular solifleur.  The pattern seems remarkably similar to the round ones that I have seen.  It is 15.5cm high 7cm wide and about 4 deep.

Any thoughts welcomed :0

Hi m,
I seem to remember having seen your vase with the same label like the one on this vase:
ebay solifleur
So it does seem to be german, but not Walther. Yet I´ve not been able to get much information
on this glassworks. Some months ago I contacted a seller, who had a thus labelled vase with it´s
original packing. According to him the box read ´Mars Cristal´. Unfortunately I couldn´t get any
further; there seems to be close to zero information available online.

thank you Dirk.
I found this  (see link) which seems to have a similar rim perhaps?? in my searching.
but no attribution.  Does 'founded glass' in Glaskilian's description mean mould blown?

I will continue to search and thank you again.

This one was on ebay a little while ago - almost bid but bought something else instead

Seller attributes it to Walther.

I´d treat that attribution as a suggestion...  ;)

m, I think Kilian means ´cast´ - so technically speaking it´s not blown.
Since this MC label (see 1st ebay link) has become such an annoying riddler to me
I´m on the hunt for an answer, too. There´s such an awful lot of these and other
solifleurs from the same maker around; I´ll keep an open eye!  :)

Yes, "founded" is here definitely used to mean "cast" (literally "poured").

I thought I would just post this for reference - looking more closely at this one which is labeled (round) the pattern looks similar but more random and more random size to the 'weave' pattern threads.  Mine seems to be more regular in pattern so perhaps not the same I can see now.
