Hello,
I have a beautiful Opalescent Depression glass bowl that I was told was made in the 1930's.
It has a 1" rim around the bottom that is ribbed design.
The edges are opalescent and there is embedded trailing leaves around the top. The center has deep grooved lines like a ray of sunshine. The bottom center is plain.
It is very heavy.
It is 10.5" to 11 3/4" on the top, measuring from the scalloped edges.
4 3/4" deep
4" high
Base is slightly over 5 1/4" round.
I was told this was possibly Dugan , but I cannot find the trailing leaves pattern anywhere or in the Carnival line.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You Kindly!

I have seen three of these very recently in central Ohio malls & I examined one closely, Don't know who made it, but am suspicious its new because three identical ones popping up in three locations is I believe more that circumstantial. I haven't checked Mosser production in a long time, but would not be suprised if its theirs.

Isn't Mosser usually marked?

Not in my experience. It sometimes is, but not often.

Nope & When you live in my area you are suspicious when opalescent pieces suddenly appear in the market in quantity. Mosser pours for other parties that have old molds. Enough said. Ken

I think I was thinking of Boyd.

This has been ID'd eleswhere by Tom Felt as "Your bowl is made from an Indiana mold, but was produced for Tiara Exclusives between 1988 and 1989 and made by Fenton. Tiara called this pattern Impressions."

I'm sure Tom won't mind me tying up this loose end with his words

Boyd are more in the "small novelty" market.

Glad you tied the loose ends up for us.  :) I would never have thought of Tiara  :o

I would like to thank all of you for all of your help. I really, really appreciate it.
Everyone is just outstanding.
I will check out the Mosser. It does look like the old INDIANA GLASS Laurel Wreath pattern and the color does look like Tiara Fenton.
I purchased it from a Antique dealer going out of buisness

Thank you once again
