This caught my eye in a charity shop and as they only wanted 50p for it I got it - just to put it on here. This looks like a clear, pressed glass bowl which has been painted on the underside and then heavily gilded. The gilding is quite worn in places and it does look to have some age. But I am the student and would love to hear what you think - anyone please!!!

It's Goofus glass. I don't know the pattern offhand - but someone might.

Thanks you two - I thought someone had done it in their kitchen lol - I've had a quick look and I think the pattern is "La Belle Rose" by Indiana Glass. I've never seen anything like this before. The were also two little bowls in a different pattern, do you think it's worth me going back to get them?
