Pavel Hlava - Exbor
« on: January 29, 2010, 07:22:55 PM »
Heya!

Just showing off again :). I found this vase a month ago but couldn't decide if it was worth the asking price and if I could afford it, but decided to get since I couldn't find a similar one on the net. Anyway, I assume it's a Pavel Hlava and it's signed "Exbor". It's also cut in a triangular shape, which I think is kind of cool.

Enjoy!

Best Regards
Emil

I would show off, too. Good find. Is it faceted and triangular? Hard to see from the one photograph. These always seem to go for much monye when I see them in auctions.

Hi David!

It's just triangular. I don't know the "value" of this piece but I paid 142 Euro including shipping if anyone wants to know :)

Hi John!

I will, as soon as I get a Rhapsody vase and a great Jan Gabrhel on the shelf ;)

Ah, you're ahead of me, Emil... I've wanted one of these for ages, but I just can't get myself to pay the asking prices of EUR 200 plus plus.
By comparison, Rhapsody vases are a lot easier (and cheaper)... And yes, a Gabhrel would be nice too, but I haven't even found, one regardless of price  :(

Hi!

The vase is 22cm.

I only have one Exbor, they're too expensive for me as well. I think I paid 140 Euro including shipping for this one. Rhapsody are a lot easier to find here as well, I have 6 different shapes. Today I found my 181th Czech piece btw!

Best Regards
Emil
