Any ideas - Duck & Owl - Ronneby?
« on: January 31, 2010, 10:10:29 PM »
Mod: Sorry to Annie & all readers, but I seem to have confused the Board controls when I tried to tidy up this thread with a "duplicate" originally in the Paperweights forum.

Annie's info and photos are all shown below, so I have now deleted the text and image from this original posting.

For info, Annie, if you need a thread moving, instead of creating a new (additional) one, just add a reply asking a Moderator to do it for you.

Having mucked things around a bit, I will make amends by searching out an interesting thread discussing these form of figures and the detail of their interior working - which may help to confirm (or not) whether this is Ronneby.

Looks like FM Ronneby - may be better to move this one to Scandinavia glass for positive ID.

Any help with identification?

Just been advised to move this here .... gorgeous quality duck and owl ... internal twist and bubble decoration gives lovely feathered effect.  Bought about 15 years ago but no idea of maker. Any clues?

I have failed miserably at trying to be clever and locate the thread that I referred to in my Moderator comments above. Best if I leave things to those who know more than I do. ;D

(But I put my Moderator hat on again and changed the title of the thread to possibly help gain interest.)

V Nason is another possibility as the two makers had very similar effects (possibly some 'cross-pollination'?) - Ingela should be able to answer more positively, if she's around.

Thanks for all your help and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this here so please delete me if not but both are now listed on E-Bay and the duck is doing rather well.

Thanks again .... Annie xxx

Post a note about the listing into the Glass Market Place Annie, live links to and plugs for  sales are permitted there but not elsewhere on the board. You can cross link back to this topic from your Market Place post as well. Hope this helps.
