Yellow splatter glass vase with gilt and enamel flowers
« on: February 05, 2010, 05:04:23 PM »
Tiny little thing, just three and a half inches high and definately showing its wear and tear in terms of the gilt. I thought it might be Victorian and English and would appreciate any more expert opinions. I tried my U.V. light on it and it glowed yellow but when I tried to photograph the colour it turned out looking pink!

They are most probably Bohemian and late 19c, early 20C. The bright yellow is the cadmium colorant.
