Marcello Furlan "for" Giuliano Tosi?
« on: December 10, 2011, 10:31:24 AM »
I asked some time ago if somebody knows what this glass object (signed by Marcello Furlan 1992) might be.
Now I found out myself, it´s a candle holder which misses the metal top:) But... now I´m even more confused, it is or it´s being sold as a design by Giuliano Tosi, hmmm, did the two artists just work closely together in the early nineties?

...and one more thing: What would you do, look for a replacement of the metal part or just leave it like it is?
Though I guess I already know what I do: Since I most likely never find the exact replacement and being a pedantic perfectionist, I gonna leave it just like it is, haha:)

Both may have made them. It is a fairly common form and not patented. Personally I would rather have the one with the M. Furlan signature. He did excellent work.

Hi,
I can confirm these items are current production by Giuliano Tosi.
I agree that they were made by Furlan too (as by others).
Pretty common in Murano, also considering that for items made with that technique is not easy to see the different touch by different master glassmakers.

Ciao
