Murano glass sculpture
« on: February 13, 2010, 06:56:18 PM »
I have a sculpture that is 21" high 10" wide and 4" thick. it looks like a six with a bird head that comes around but does not touch the tail curving up to make the six type number. it is mounted on a ball of crystal and has white highlight to the bird. I would appricate any help identifying it and a approximate value. The Label is - Formia Vetri Di Murano made in Italy

You might be able to find something like it in the Formia Zoo at http://www.formiaglass.it/gb/coll_zoo.html. If you don't see your piece there, click the "Figures" link at the top of the page. There are some sculptures that look like the number 6, but without bird heads.

I also saw where it was called Swan on a sphere. The picture was on the link you provided but I still can't find an estimated value. I will try searching with Murano Swan Lake sculpture. thanks for help!
