Jayne, I doubt Danish, but thanks for flagging that up. If that pot is a match it might help run the set to earth.

Christine - eeeek the price is a little bit OTT!

The green powder pot we looked at above in reply #3 is, I believe, the Brockwitz 5942 pattern.  The tray isn't from the same series, and may not even be Brockwitz.

Positively booming Christine! And yes Anne the pot definitely looks like a Brockwitz 5942. The original blue tray of mine I've now seen many times with Brockwitz 4900 pieces in Amber, Pink, Uranium, Blue, some frosted some not, I've also seen the tray with 5900 pots and ring holder a lesser amount of times, but it seems like the tray was ID'd a while back with the set here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,31775.msg171845.html#msg171845 although I realise the tray does not match the catalogue portrayal which is a comb tray.

I wish we could find that tray in a catalogue!  :o  There isn't a tray shown for the 4900 series....  :-\

I'd forgotten the earlier 4900 discussion too, so thanks for reminding me Jayne. I must search the board for all these trinket set topics soon! There's probably enough to start a whole new forum in here! ;D

Sorry to bump a really old thread, but the colour of this set is very interesting, I wonder was it really this "yellow/golden" or is it more amber and the camera/lighting is making it appear different?

Nice!

That is the first part-frosted Brockwitz 4900 set (in any colour) that I can recall seeing, Angela.

Fred.
