found in the bottom of my shed, most likley silver plate, it's marked as the photo but i can not find the mark anywhere on the web anyone help?
also got 6 WMF 1930 glass cup holders
Mod: Images have gone, may be replaced at a later date.

I think WMF did Pewter too, I think it is Edelzinn in German.

ok to stop the confusion here's a photo of the art deco WMF, i have 6 of these i know there missing the glass inners and they are silver plate

Hi Ray,
The nearest thing that I can find is the "cockrel" mark which was used in France on silver pieces between 1798 and 1819. Unfortunately even with increasing the size I cannot read what is written around the cockrel.......presuming that my eyesight isn't failing and it isn't a bird at all :!:

tigerchip's was spot on it's a Gallia Christofle piece made anywhere between 1880 and the early 1900's, could have be made for caviar
