ID on a scrambled(?) weight please?

I'd appreciate if anyone could enlighten me a little on this paperweight please?

I bought it about 3 years ago from a charity shop where a collection of about a dozen had ended up.  I chose this one because it looked older (the glass has a yellowish tinge to it) and was smaller.

Thanks for the ID.  I half suspected it would be chinese, after reading posts here, but its great to have confirmation that it is.  Grazie!
