Timo Sarpaneva Festivo Candle Stick...
« on: March 14, 2010, 05:00:33 AM »
Manage to score this at the charity shop for $8. It was over looked by glassies who got there earlier and took the generic murano bowls for more money.

Timo Sarpaneva candle stick. Has TS to the base. Just over 18cm tall. Couldn't get a pic of the TS as it is quite faintish.

That's a good one!    Taller ones are much more desirable and rarer than the low ones. TS on the bottom is not often found.  Beware of imitations. There are lookalikes around which are rounder, less "rustic" and are made from a lower grade glass. But once you've handled the original you will recognise the imitation.

Thank you Ivo. I was even more surprised to see it signed and sadly over looked. Its a lovely piece of glass. It will look good with the Avena vases and the flint Whitefriars collection (whenever they get unpacked again).  ;D
