Hi:
I'm presuming it's a medium sized bowl, as it was made by being blown into a ballotton mould, a traditional Murano technique. It's a nice piece but you will be lucky to get an id as a few companies made bowls like this.

I'd say Barbini is close - very close.

I had a geode like yours, only it was bubble gum pink. It was a gorgeous bowl. I could not track down who made it, but felt it was probably Barbini or Fratelli Toso because of the way the bullicante was done. They are some of the prettiest geodes that were made. The aventurine and bubbles give the appearance of stone.

Patti: I agree that the colours are like Barbini or Fratelli Toso. I'm reluctant to attribute on colour alone, as the colours aren't unique to each company, but I certainly trust Anita's and Ivo's judgment. I thought we had discussed a bowl made with a similar technique--and here it is. The second link is to the definition of Balloton from the Barovier and Toso website. Basically, it's a mould that creates a quilted. diamond pattern on and can be adapted to put a bubble in the middle of each diamond. Finally, I've attached a picture of a little candle-holder that I've got, which shows the technique also. BTW, how big is your bowl? I didn't know who made this type of geode, David. Barovier is also a possibility. I do get trapped into thinking about colors quite often. I link bright pink with F. Toso, but anyone could do pink. I wish we could find one of these bowls with a label. I will be disappointed if it turns out to say "Genuine Venetian Glass..."
