ID Help Needed Please - Geometric form vase
« on: March 04, 2010, 05:44:08 PM »
This piece is approx 6 inches tall and 5 or so in diameter. No pontil and quite a bit of age wear on the underside.  Thoughts on origin / company would be appreciated......
TIA  Craig

For those of you interested......

I have been informed via another group that the piece is actually Italian by V Nason from the 40's-50's and is a decanter missing it's stopper and the cordials....

Odd piece Craig, the cut top and yellow 'splodges' look Bohemian and the gold inclusions Murano and as you say Italian, can't say I've seen one like that before,

The inclusions aren't actually gold, Keith. They are copper. When gold is used, it is normally in sheets that are like thin tissue paper. It was too expensive to use much, even last century.
