Yes, I know Frank - much of Chance glassware during this same period featured gilt - I was just trying to distinguish between the more conservative decoration from British companies, as opposed to the lavish gilt decoration featured elsewhere.

In particular, there are examples I have seen with multiple gilt banding, which I cannot see being attributed to a Brit company and more likely an import. I'm sure one example seen has a similar shape to Anne's glasses - if I find one on eBay I will post the ID.
