odd color combinations
« on: November 17, 2005, 09:43:06 AM »
I have several pieces that to me are odd color combinations and will post them here to see if anyone has any ideas on maker or year.
Here is the first one.

As you can see a different sort of green and vibrant yellow. With the large indent, I assume a cigar ashtray. TIA Terry

I think it could Barbini, Cenedese, or Salviati too. The 1 fold shape seems to be a staple of every Murano company. It is really hard to say.

Well not Seguso, but I've seen the yellow in Barbini pieces, but the green has me foxed at present, but on the case.

Thanks for all your input, I will have to say I almost didn't buy it because the green is rather different and not my favorite. Terry

Look a bit like a Brazilian soccer shirt.

Could be so many companies. If I were on Jeopardy, I'd guess "Who is Alfredo Barbini?"
