:hi: there -- Well this is an Old, Old post -- from Dec 2007.

But I just re-took some better pics of this item, and I *think* I finally figured this item out by moi-self  ;D , so if MOD want to change/Add to the topic heading they may.....as I am 100% (pretty sure) that I have ID'd this unknown.

It is AltaGlass from Canada ................

See link for confirmation:
CLICK-AltaGlass Confirmation Pic Ref # fm00170011artglass

Which is from this page here:
http://altaglass.ca/index.php?set_albumName=bowls&option=com_gallery&Itemid=30&include=view_album.php&page=2
The 9th row, second one over.

Adding New and better pics.  So now ID'd, and thread can die  but with a

That scary, I've ID two of my own pieces this week.  This one, and that one I thought was Chinese, but was the 1920 Czech 3 legged thing.............Thank you Internet.

I try to help ID others ---- but *still take my guesses* with a grain of salt.  My suggestions/guesses are a little *soft* and out in *Left-Field* a lot of time. :24:

Anyway this is ID'd ..  :hiclp:

Fantastic, Rose! Well done, it certainly looks like your piece, so there's a high probability that's it. Just a caveat though that even very experienced collectors can be wrong, especially with this sort of free-form glass, and I can't tell what evidence the owners of that website have. So I'd make that ID very probable, but not necessarily 100% just yet.

Whoops - you are totally right!

I guess I believe too much in the Net.........as *how* do I (or anyone else) knows that the attribution there is correct in the first place.  I can only *say* the pictures matches, and can only *assume* that the attribution there is correct -- but therefore not 100% positive just yet.

Boy, am I gullible...... :-\          :buries head in sand:
