Czech glass Christ Figure, unknown maker
« on: March 20, 2010, 08:48:55 PM »
Hello, can anyone identify the maker of this figure? It is Czech, and I know Desna Glass makes reproductions of this piece.

Many thanks.

Your picture is way too small to see anything. The longest dimension needs to be about 700 pixels.

Originally designed by Arthur Pleva for Schlevogt around the 1930s. Desna version here: http://preciosaornela.com/desna-glass_cz/www/products-detail.php?id=73

I wouldn't exactly call the Desna version a reproduction, as far as I know this pattern, like many other Schlevogt & Hoffmann patterns has been in continuous production for decades.
