ID confirmation of Ebay item # 320532004878 - WMF
« on: May 15, 2010, 08:52:50 PM »
Hi All,
I have pondered over this piece and can't make my mind up about this item on Ebay.
I don't think it's Monart, I have been known to be wrong, or is it a variation
of Shape VE??? Still undecided!!!
Appreciate your thoughts. :ac1:

Regards
Bill

Mod: Here is the link to the eBay item

Hi Bill,

I've asked for a photo or description of the base 'cos I wasn't certain. But, when I used the link just now, my immediate reaction was 'WMF' Ikora - which is possible, given they did a shape like that.

Hope you're well.

Cheers, Nigel

This is DEFINITELY Ikora, there is no doubt about it.  The shape is somewhat uncommon, but it's definitely ikora.

Missed the eBayers link to photos the first time (at the bottom of his description) :o but the whole thing says WMF Ikora, just as Paul says.

Specifically, WMF Ikora, shape number 104, and should be 13 cms (5 1/8") - the spec for the eBay item is 5", so within tolerance for a hand made item, or a rounded up/down measurement.

Cheers, Nigel
