This one looks like it but your vase appears to have a longer neck.

Yes, it certainly looks familiar. This company is known to me. I purchased 2 pieces of Krosno back at least 10 years ago, a vase and a perfume bottle in the same design, and both still carry the Krosno label. My wife always wanted another of the perfumes to complete her display!!.
Looking through the site I also noticed a vase that I have often seen discribed as being definately Scandinavian. :?
It is all very confusing, not only to the layman like myself, but also for many so called experts.
Thanks,
Bryn (not Brian)

I think the piece with the spiral is actually from Romania

I know of a piece in my local dealers with modern 'Made in Romania' label on it, very like LSA so it surprised me to see that label

I know nothing about modern Romanian glass production

This is the most I could find http://www.alibaba.com/catalog/11064937/Glass_Decorative_Vase/showimg.html

Just found where I think the Webb Corbett link came from, the Is it Whitefriars board 25/7/2005 the question was asked and the only reply came from a lady who had seen a very similar lamp conversion in her local Antique shop which was discribed as being Webb Corbett. If I believed all the labels down one of my local antique shops I'd think it a wonderful place of endless Whitefriars... and not just dusty & generic Polish/Murano/Chinese glass.

They also have one of these vases/lamp bases in the shop window, but oddly haven't tried to give it a WF attribution. £24 they want for it too!
