For your interest, what I find, is a fascinating pwght- 6.5cmH 7.5cm base. Worn base and dome scratches-purchased because of the complex canes- I.D would be nice. regards Carol

The bottom and central cane look like Toso. I haven't seen the unusual canes before. They are certainly interesting.

If some Murano Paperweights are here on the board I have heard vey often :
Toso
Ferro & Lazarini
Dino Martens
Seguso
Martinuzzi
AVeM
and so on.........

What does Toso mean?
We have Antonio and Francesco Toso during the 19 ct!
We have Ferro & Toso about 1900 and about the same time Giovanni and Lieberche Toso!
We have about 1937 Aureliano Toso  and then the rest of the dynastie also in the South America, and so on...!

Ergo: what does  TOSO mean ???

Fratelli Toso. They made a lot of paperweights. Personally I prefer the shorthand FT when speaking repeatedly of the company. There are a lot of Toso's in Murano.

Point taken Anita and casalibre- so FT then- any ideas on the maker of my particular weight? There are a couple of indicators to FT but it was the difference with the other canes that pointed me in the direction of this message board. regards Carol
