Something about this paperweight looks familiar.  I don't think I saw it at Ivo's - that was my first thought.  Haven't I seen something similar on here about 3/4 months ago?

Did Adam Aaronson have something along these lines?  It could be only the base cylinder of colour that's jogging my memory...whatever it was, I don't think it was ever identified and maybe that base block of colour is very common.   :?:  I have an idea it was quite a simple paperweight also.

Thought I'd add this as you never know what might help!  :D

What a memory, Max!
It was the same style of base colour.... and I think Ray thought it was a Royal Whatsit pw, but I don't think this is from the same place. :D

I seem to have a great visual memory for glass.  Unfortunately I can't usually remember the facts that go with it.

Thanks for your reply Adam. xx

Thanks everybody for chiming in. FWIW I've consulted my personal geologist who says the suspended blob might contain mica.  :)
