Murano egg?

8 cm long,no marks,any ideas please,reminds me of an underplate I got recently,

Napkin rings are ideal for displaying them on (my sister used to collect marble eggs, and used them as stands). You can pick up single solid silver napkin rings on eBay quite cheaply because they're fairly useless for their original purpose when solo.
