Hi there:

If you recall from this link: HERE-GMB POST where I said in that post, quoting myself:

YIKES...  :o
The other different piece he wanted $25 for it, and was calling it Murano (which I did not think it was) so that is why I did not buy it....(AND IF I recall correctly) it is like the tall, knobby one like Andy had posted in this topic.  I better go and GRAB that other one too -- for only $25 !!!   Will post when I get it - - - <...goes running....>

Well guess what just arrived today............................. :hiclp:  :chky:

Looking at this link before, I (think) this is similar to this one here: http://picasaweb.google.de/exat53/Skrdlovice#5159382870935968482 .  But mine is (kinda) like the color of this one:  http://picasaweb.google.de/exat53/Skrdlovice#5159383549540801714.  So I am hoping, and thinking that this IS Czech Glass.  But not sure of the year, maker, and the exact color reference to this one (amethyst)?

I hope I got it right, and if it was not for this link HERE i would have never knew what I walked by.

Please confirm IF this is Czech glass/maker/year.  Did I learn quickly, or not?  Thank you.

ADDED:  **(Whoops, just realized I was so excited and busy taking the pics -- I forgot to take the measurements.  I will post those later)

This looks like a very nice 1950's Skrdlovice vase to me. I think amethyst is the word used by the factory for this colour. A great find for 25 dollars.

:24: Lol -- I should concentrate on cleaning and dusting them.

I would like to stick to Murano - but I seem to be finding others.  And I love a good mystery.

To complete bOBA's founds, the vase seems to be designed by Emanuel Beranek in 1954 - pattern 5460

Hi, I see from this link that *some* Skrdlovice can also Glow.....see link, 12th row

http://www.20thcenturyglass.com/glass_encyclopedia/vaseline_glass/vaselineglass_home.htm

That good to know too, as a reference.  Do not think this one here in *this* post will -- but the other Skrdlovice one here does:  http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,32442.0.html

 ;)
