You may want to try asking the Stoke-on-Trent Museum and Art Gallery.
As a former heavily industrial city, it is highly likely that along with ceramics, coal and steel industries, glass would have been made in Kidsgrove, which is only a matter of three or so miles from Tunstall, one of the Six Towns that form the city. Failing that, try the Reference Library in Hanley, which has a local history unit, (ask them to check the Kelly's Directories for the late Victorian period), or Keele University which has a very strong holding of local history records.
