Murano paperweight?
« on: May 11, 2010, 03:28:35 PM »
Hi,
I have just bought this paperweight and think it is Murano because of the gold inclusions within its base. Am I right?

It almost 2" high with a very smooth and polished pontil.

Thanks in advance
Rosie

Yes, your pw is Murano. It was made by Fratelli Toso. The metal is not gold, but copper. FT used a lot of sparkling copper in their glass.
