Balloon necked decanter ball stopper
« on: May 16, 2010, 07:08:06 PM »
Good evening again
This is one from my haul that I cannot id myself at all.  I have tried naming it many things to try to locate it but no joy.  It is a balloon necked bottle decanter with a ball stopper with a slight nipple as can be seen.  It looks quite a smokey colour to the naked eye but as the pontil pic shows it is actually amethyst when you hold it to the light.  It has a ground out pontil and has lots of wear.
I really would appreciate help on this one I took a punt.
