Ive attached some photobucket links of this rather odd and unkown to me item of amber glass. My initial thoughts point to Webb, but as I have not seen this shape before, who am I to say? :spls:
It must have been an "Annealers" nightmare, due to the shear size of its flanged diam., which measures 9.5" with a central whole of 3.5" in diam and with a depth of 2", which I assume was for a frog or acentrepiece?
The entire has been fire-polished and the base is recessed with a ground edge. The actual top flange has a completely smooth underside, however the top has an appealing, scalloped/sunflower, subtle pattern which i hope can be seen form my photos?
No factory/makers marks are visible at all and so your much valued remarks would truly help me. Thankx to all, Jazz :thup:http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/jazzimons/SAM_0358.jpghttp://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/jazzimons/SAM_0360.jpghttp://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz292/jazzimons/SAM_0359.jpg
