Sowerby pattern book No 37, circa May 1954, shows the 2602 Rose Bowl & Block 5½" on an eclectic reversed plinth with the legs fitting over a raised central fitting rather than the conventional system of the legs fitting inside a raised rim.   The raised central part of the scarce special plinth was about 2" or 5cm in diameter.   The pattern book also notes the option of a more conventional 2506 plinth.

Pattern 2602 probably dates from about 1938 (see BGbtW), which is when the print block for the catalogue illustration would have been prepared.   The continued use of this print block in later pattern books is, of course, no guarantee that the special plinth was still being made.   A useful reminder that you cannot assume anything!!!

I would welcome accurate measurements of one of these special 2602 reversed plinths, together with its number (if marked — it is most likely to be 2602 or 2603, but it could be another number), and a description of the punch font.   Photographs would be a lovely bonus.

Here is a late 1930s 2602 Rose Bowl and Block I've just acquired, now complete with a contemporary 2506 plinth.   Click on the image below to link to GlassGallery for another view, dimensions and enlargements:
