Hi all
I picked this bowl up a couple of weekends ago and so far havent managed to find much out about it.
Its quite heavy for its size and well made, the glass has quite an unusual look with the colours not mixed in, hard to describe really.
It has an applied foot in clear glass. On the foot is (i think) a fire polished pontil with an impresed mark, it then appears to have been etched around the edges and middle to make it look like a flower head. It does still feel quite rough, although not sharp.
8cms tall, 18cm in diameter, 7.5 cm base diameter, 650g
Does anybody recognise it or the mark ?
many thanks in advance
michelle

The bowl is by Adrian Sankey. I think the base mark is just where the pontil rod was attached, this four point attachment pattern I've seen on a lot of modern studio glass, the rough grinding was probably just to take off the sharp edges.
