Scandinavian Bowl?
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:49:08 PM »
Hi, I've seen this bowl described as all sorts of things, Scandinavian, Holmegaard, Dartington..... Is anyone able to give a definitive ID please?  Much appreciated, Gill X      26cms across, 12cms to highest point.

As far as I know this one is still a mystery (I have been trying for a year or two to identify mine), it looks like it may have been 'inspired' by a Humpilla bowl with a similar pattern.

Hoping one will turn up with a label.....

Thanks John, odd that it's such a mystery, they don't seem uncommon, will keep my eyes open and see if we can solve in time.  Best wishes, Gill

Just spotted this bowl in 20th Century Glass by Charles Hajdamach, page 222, seems it is part of the (centrifuge cast) flair range by Ravenhead.

The range also includes those cactus like bowls sometimes found with Lasipat labels:

.... sometimes found with Lasipat labels: ...
Lasisepät, you meant.  ;)  (oh, and I add for those who don't read all of this topic, that please note that this bowl was not described as Lasisepät production if you look closer. This was just a small correction for the spelling  :) )
