Board email to hotmail addresses NO LONGER being rejected
« on: December 10, 2015, 12:42:45 AM »
For reasons best known only to themselves, hotmail are not accepting our mail, so anyone using a hotmail / outlook / live.com mail address may not be getting notifications of replies / new topics.  I am doing some serious poking with my pointy stick to see if I can persuade them to change their mind. Will update when I know more.

I *think* I've found the problem and fixed it. Could a few people who are using hotmail /outlook / live mail services please reply if they are getting notifications from subscribed topics? Ta!

Hotmail are still refusing our email despite making the changes that they required for it to be accepted. As it's not easy to speak to a real person to get this sorted would anyone using a hotmail address please note that you won't get notifications of replies from the board until they stop playing stupid servers! I shall keep trying to get them to sort out and lift the block but...

If you have an alternative address it would be sensible to change to it as hotmail / outlook / live mail are still refusing our email!

I can finally announce that we have been unblocked by the hotmail server. I had to borrow the loan of one of the big cannons at our hosting company to finally get it done, as my wee pokey sticky wasn't able to shift the blockage on its own. It took them a bit of shoving but all seems to be working again now, thankfully!
