I suppose that this vase had not been produced at all, it was just an experiment or joke, and than economical considerations were not important.
I have passed here the simmilar modified Zejmon one - see Newhall's Sklo Union page 115, so just for refreshing memory again :-)

Yes, true but it play no role in fact becouse also this one has not been in production.
The bottom treatment for such unique pieces has no importance, simple was made according to mood and wish of author.
