Old Glass Bowl - Pressed ID = Duncan Miller "Sandwich"
« on: June 07, 2010, 07:43:39 PM »
Hi, I bought this for a whole $1 yesterday.   ;D

I am assuming (hoping) that it is old.  Appears to be pressed Glass (EAPG??) as you can see 4 seams (sections) in it.  It is footed.  Not sure IF this had a lid, or is just this way....or if it had a lid, it was long broken.  About 6.5 inches tall, and bowl is 7 inches wide.  Anyone know the pattern name, maker, or age?

Glass seems to have a *bit* of a Greenish Tint to it............Possible Glow?

Thanks in Advance  ;)

Very tricky, Rose - too many come from Indonesia, Malaysia and Turkey today  :nogos:

Foot and cup look like a marriage - but I can be completely wrong  :pb:  :-X

thanks pamela:

Chalk this one up to Unknown....., it just kinda caught my idea.  Thought if I posted it here, I could give it back its identity.  Maybe not....

No I do not think the bowl, and foot are a marriage....they look as one here.  Maybe its the way I took the pic....but I will have a closer look, with my 3rd EYE.. LOL

thanks  :kissy:

Hi neilh....Looks like a match to me.
Thanks for finding that  :hiclp:   I thought it looked old, and IF from 1920-1930...that is alright.  Not gonna get rich on it - but then I did not spend much on it....and in all reality....it is *coming on to be* almost a 100 years old.

Glad you added the description from that link -- (in case the ad/pic/info Expires soon) ---- Good THINKING

Again Thank you -- always so Great to have an item identified.  I will check out if any *Glow* or even a tiny bit of glow -- when I get a UV light (just in case there is, since it is older......)

Maybe, or Maybe not ???? this could, BUT Duncan Miller is listed: http://www.vaselineglass.org/FACTORY.HTML

Same Duncan Miller Rose. The Sandwich refers to the flower pattern NOT the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company.
