Hello,
Last week we heard the shocking news that the King’s Lynn Arts Centre is being threatened with closure by the local government.

But, if you don’t live in King’s Lynn, why should you care?

In short, none of us would have been able to enjoy and benefit from either the Hi Sklo Lo Sklo exhibition or the Ronald Stennett-Willson glass exhibition without it.

Without the incredible support and foresight of organiser Liz Falconbridge and her team, and the use of this perfect venue, none of these breakthrough events could possibly have occurred. As well as providing an invaluable and irreplaceable venue for the local community from its beautiful historic buildings, some dating back to the 15thC, the centre has also arguably affected the the world of collecting and the decorative arts globally.

If you buy, sell, collect or love Czech Glass or Stennett-Willson's landmark designs, just think where we would be today without these exhibitions or literature.

We need your support -- and quickly, as the local council meets soon. So, please:

Sign the online petition at: http://www.petitiononline.com/SaveKLAC/

And join the Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=168510099168

Your support won't cost you a penny, just a few moments of your time, but EVERY signature counts -- even yours.

Thanks you,
Mark

That's because I signed personally as a glassie collector Sue, and on behalf of the Fox Plays UK agency - as the centre is also used for drama. Smiley

Terribly sad. Confirms a very blinkered and stereotyped perspective of Norfolk, I'm afraid :-(
