Topic: date request for Webb's stem vase.

You've heard of 'Obsession' by Kalvin Klein or 'Attitude' by Giorgio Armani  -  well, I was tempted to call this one 'Erotica' by Webb     I have had a go at removing the water staining, but unfortunately a little remains, so will try some other time.      9" tall and with the same style of back stamp as on my recent 'beak' vase that was dated to 1962.   Apologies, I haven't quite got around to acquiring Nigel Benson's book so am not sure if this stem vase also dates to the early '60's, and would be grateful if someone is able to enlighten me.    Thanks for looking as always.

Yes, you clever girl, I use this method most of the time now for blowing up things like words, or anything really that would otherwise be a bit too small to see clearly.    I think it is one of the most useful tricks with the camera that I know of, and all thanks to you. :thup: :thup:

Or if you have it, you can use the macro setting (the tulip icon) on the camera, which is better.

Paul, I'm pretty sure this is also from the Flair range, so 1962-onwards. I have a 'double-bud vase' with this same organic style in clear glass, which I forgot to post last time. So this is my sixth piece.

Another piece of Webbs I've never seen before,where do you find them?....the mark dates it from 1950-1966,Keith.

thanks again David  -  appreciate your help.  The double bud vase looks very space age - most unusual, and it would be interesting to know what sort of production figures there were for some of these modern pieces.    Bearing in mind the historically conventional pieces that Webb's produced over many decades, maybe designs like these were not so popular.     What happens David if I put the camera setting on macro AND use the lens?
Thanks Keith, have to say that I have only seen these 'modern' pieces as one off's, wish I was knee deep in them, but then I don't hang around the higher end of the glass market, and I guess you will find them at the proper Antiques fairs.   Oddly, the older Webb's material seems far more common than this sort.
