Selling advice for Murano piece
« on: June 16, 2010, 03:29:11 PM »
I was just about to put this on ebay and thought I'd better run it past the GMB first.  I think it's just generic Murano...but just in case, I'm asking here first!  :)  It's definitely not Chinese as I bought it before China was producing this kind of thing, so that's good to know!

Here it is...any clues as to who might have made it?

Thanks xx

I think you're safer with generic Murano. Fratelli Toso, Seguso Vetri d'Arte, Cenedese and a host of others made similar pieces. I might guess at what it might be for cataloging if it were in my collection, but I wouldn't feel good about giving it a specific attribution for the purpose of selling it. Nice little piece, though. I hate to think what you'll get for it in the current Murano market.

Thanks for that David.  :-*  I know it's not a good time to sell, but this little cutie has to go...and really I should sell many more pieces.   :'(
