Colmans has been a very big employer for very many years in Norwich and the mainstay of its business was mustard for a long time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colman%27s

It might be worth writing and asking if they could date your pot, as it was obviously a promo item.

Keith — Dodsworth, BGbtW, item 48 cites Pottery Gazette September 1925, where the patented manufacturing process is fully described, and the maker, the Decorative Glass Company of Stourbridge, is described as "recently formed".   Apart from a few scarce vases made in the same way, no other products by this company are known, so it is reasonable to conclude that the Colman's contract dates from 1925/6.

Hi Guys Can I add to this topic. Bernard you say "Apart from a few scarce vases made in the same way, no other products by this company are known, so it is reasonable to conclude that the Colman's contract dates from 1925/6. " take a look at the photos have you seen this. No lid my guess a jampot.
