Label Murano? ...but Plain Glass Trinket Box?
« on: June 24, 2010, 08:36:43 PM »
Hi there:
I am just not sure about this.  The label on it says:

ARTE MURANO
LINEA DEL VECCHIO
VETRO MADE IN ITALY

But is this Murano (??)  OR just a souvenir piece brought from Murano -- since they are known for (other) real (Murano) glass.  Is this just a poor mans souvenir piece or what....

Confused on this one -- and Did not know IF I should even post on the Murano board -- thought i best put it here first, as I did not want to offend anyone on this (strange) item.  About 4 inches tall, and 3.50 inches wide.....a cut, pale blue glass ???

   :spls2:  Help...

Rose:

I don't think label says that the piece was made in Murano. It's Murano art, made in Italy. But does it matter if you like it? I
